Precision Refraction & Customized Spectacle Prescriptions for Clear, Comfortable Vision

Clear vision is fundamental to everyday productivity, learning, driving, and overall quality of life. An inaccurate spectacle power or uncorrected refractive error can cause chronic eye strain, fatigue, frequent headaches, and blurry vision. Our Vision & Prescriptions service delivers meticulous optical assessments that pair computerized auto-refraction with refined subjective testing to provide crisp, distortion-free sight.

Supervised by Dr. Parul Tripathi, MS (Ophthalmology)—a senior ophthalmologist with over 15 years of clinical practice—our optical evaluations look beyond simple numbers. We analyze your occupational visual demands, digital device habits, working distances, and binocular muscle balance to tailor personalized glasses prescriptions for myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

Our Vision & Refraction Services

01

Visual Acuity Testing (Distance & Near)

Visual acuity testing measures the sharpness and resolving power of your eyesight at standard distance (6 meters / 20 feet) and close reading distances (33–40 cm). Using calibrated digital Snellen and LogMAR visual acuity charts, we record your uncorrected vision, pinhole improvement, and best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) for each eye independently to detect early refractive deviations or amblyopia.

02

Computerized Auto-Refraction & Subjective Verification

Our two-step refraction protocol begins with advanced autorefractometry to map how light rays bend through your cornea and natural lens. This objective baseline is then meticulously refined through subjective trial-lens testing and cross-cylinder refinement. This ensures the prescription provides sharp clarity without causing dizziness, nausea, or excessive accommodation.

03

Customized Glasses & Spectacle Prescriptions

We formulate exact spectacle prescriptions tailored to manage specific refractive conditions: spherical power for nearsightedness (myopia) and farsightedness (hyperopia), precise cylindrical power and axis alignment for astigmatism, and custom near-addition power (+ADD) for age-related reading difficulty (presbyopia), giving you effortless focus across all distances.

04

Progressive, Computer & Anti-Reflective Lens Guidance

Beyond basic lens numbers, we advise on the ideal optical lens designs suited for your lifestyle. From seamless progressive addition lenses (PALs) with wide intermediate corridors to dedicated office/computer lenses, blue-light filtering coatings for digital workers, and high-index ultra-thin lenses for high prescriptions, we ensure your glasses deliver comfort and clarity.

Why Professional Refraction Matters

Accurate optical measurements designed for eye comfort and natural focus

A great pair of glasses starts with an accurate clinical refraction. We take into account pupillary distance, corneal curvature, and lifestyle needs to ensure seamless visual adaptation.

No More Eye Strain

Accurate cylindrical and spherical correction eliminates the constant squinting, brow ache, and ocular fatigue caused by outdated prescriptions.

Digital Screen Comfort

Specialized intermediate power adjustments designed for IT professionals, students, and frequent computer users.

Smooth Lens Adaptation

Precise balancing of eye coordination and vertex distance ensures quick, distortion-free adaptation to progressive and bifocal lenses.

FAQs

Vision & Refraction Testing FAQs

It is recommended to have your refraction and vision tested once every year. If you experience frequent headaches, eye strain, or notice a drop in visual sharpness, schedule a check-up sooner.

Astigmatism occurs when the cornea or crystalline lens has an irregular, oblong curvature (shaped like a football rather than a basketball), causing blurred or stretched vision. It is easily corrected using cylindrical lenses with a specific axis alignment in your glasses.

Around age 40, the eye’s natural lens gradually loses its flexibility—a normal condition known as presbyopia. Reading glasses, bifocals, or progressive lenses restore clear near focus for books, smartphones, and close work.

An auto-refractor provides a computerized estimate of your prescription. Subjective refraction fine-tunes this reading by asking you which lenses provide the clearest and most comfortable vision, ensuring you do not receive an over-corrected prescription.

In adults, an incorrect prescription will not cause permanent structural damage, but it frequently leads to severe eyestrain, dizziness, headaches, and tired eyes. In children, uncorrected prescriptions can lead to amblyopia (lazy eye).

Blue-cut lens coatings filter high-energy blue light emitted by computers and mobile screens, helping reduce digital glare, alleviate screen fatigue, and improve sleep cycles for frequent screen users.
