Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) / OCT Retina Scan
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive, light-based imaging test that functions like an optical ultrasound. It captures micron-resolution, cross-sectional images of the individual layers of the retina and macula. OCT scanning is essential for quantifying subretinal fluid, detecting intraretinal cysts in Diabetic Macular Edema (DME), identifying early macular holes, tracking Epiretinal Membranes (ERM), and staging Choroidal Neovascularization (Wet AMD).
